Shea Culture is a beauty and personal care company that specializes in creating skincare and haircare products that prioritize natural ingredients. The Shea Culture Brand features shea butter as a key component in their products.
During consultation with the Shea Culture team, we noted that they had a desire to enhance and nourish the skin by using natural, organic products, and simply needed a brand identity that communicated this desire. At first glance they wanted their brand to be seen as helping people reclaim control over their skin's health and beauty. Our team at Banisoro went to work and motivated by the goals of Shea Culture, we combined elements in our design that captured Shea Culture's essence. This new identity reflected the warmth, positivity and commitment to skin wellness which reflected what the brand had to offer to its customers.
Banisoro was intentional about the colours for this brand, curating colours that gave a natural and earthy feel. This was done methodically, to allow people to connect with Shea Culture's message. Here's the result;
While designing the logo we thoughtfully considered the playful and quite literally, down-to-earth essence of the brand. This helped us to create a logo that combined relevance, and recognition with the brand's authentic and nature-inspired products.
The colour palette consists of warm and neutral colours to give a deep earthy feel. Deep Brown, Beige, Soft orange and Soft grey were used mostly because of the brands natural products.
To show the richness and class of the brand, we used a sans-serif typeface. We established a typographic hierarchy to keep things consistent across all communications.
We can categorically say that the brand identity for Shea Culture was a flawless blend of nature-inspired elegance and approachability. The new identity embodies the brand's mission to empower individuals to take control of their skin journey, using natural and sustainable products. From the thoughtful logo design to the earthy colour palette, every element reflects warmth, positivity, and trust, resonating with Shea Culture's audience at first glance. The refreshed identity not only highlights the brand's dedication to skin wellness but also solidifies its place as a trusted, relatable, and nature-driven skincare partner.
